This page was created to give parents, students, and community members up to date information on the schools crisis plan along with information on drills and vital information during a real crisis. In the event of a true crisis, you could check this page for the latest information on what is being done and when and where your children can be picked up. We hope this will help with communication during an actual crisis and allow our crisis plan to run smoothly to keep everyone safe. |

Friday April 29, 2011 - Shake Out and Evacuation Drill |

At 8:15 the Shake Out drill was started in the Arcola School District. Each class practice the procedures to follow in the event of an earthquake. |

At 8:20 the Evacuation Drill was started in the Arcola School District. |
|
At 8:43 the school Is completely evacuated. |
|
At 8:53 all elementary students are at the Catholic church? |
|
At 8:57 there was a report of no injuries at either church. |
|
At 9:00 the Methodist Church report no injuries and all students accounted for. |
|
At 10:20 all bus dispatched to pick up students at both churches. |
| The evacuation drill was completed at 11:30 with the regular dismissal of students. The Crisis Team would like to thank parents, staff, and students for participating in the process. A significant amount of information was gathered to be used to review and update the District Crisis Plan. Thank You! |
