PROPERTY TAX INCREASE FOR

ARCOLA COMMUNITY UNIT #306

I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for Arcola School District #306 for 2024-2025 school year will be held on December 11, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the Arcola Community Unit School District #306 Media Center at 351 W. Washington, Arcola, IL. Any person desiring to appear at the public hearing and present testimony to the taxing district may contact Thomas H. Mulligan, Superintendent of School, 351 W. Washington, Arcola, IL 61910, 268-4963.

II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2023 were $5,133,447. The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2024 are $5,701,569 This represents an 11.07% increase over the previous year.

III. The property taxes extended or abated for debt service and public building commission leases for 2023 were $150,442. The proposed debt service and public building commission leases to be levied for 2024 is $150,319. This represents a 0.08% decline over the previous year.

IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2023 were $5,283,889. The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2024 are $5,851,888. This represents an 10.75% increase over the previous year.
