This is a reminder that the Arcola School District will be providing daily meal service for students during the mandated school closure. Meals will be provided daily each day of the week (not weekends) from Tuesday, March 17 through Monday, March 30. We STRONGLY recommended you sign up for this service by completing this form https://forms.gle/eivDpGc33B5RE55z5. If you do not sign up and suddenly need meals, come anyway. Meals can be picked between 10 am and 11 am each day. You will simply pull up to the junior high/cafeteria entrance off of Washington Street and the meals will be provided to you. If you cannot pick up the meals, be sure to indicate that on the form. On March 17, students will receive breakfast and lunch for Tuesday, the 17th and breakfast for Wednesday, the 18th. Each day following, they will receive lunch for that day and breakfast for the following day. If you have any questions regarding meal service contact Diane Good at dgood@arcolaschools.com or call at 217-268-4963.

Based on recent developments with confirmed cases in neighboring counties and testing being done in our county, we have made the decision to cancel school for students tomorrow, Monday, March 16. Staff will report for a regular day of work. In addition, the building will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for students and parents to come and pick up any items that will be needed over break. You will need to check into the office upon arrival. We recommend that a limited amount of people come to the building to collect materials. Again, there are no confirmed cases in Douglas County but we are trying to do our part to prevent the spread of the virus. I will be posting more information tonight regarding learning activities over the mandated school closure.
