The Arcola School District is seeking candidates for a full-time paraprofessional to work with students with special needs in Grades K-6. Applicants must be at least 19 years of age and have or be willing to obtain a paraprofessional license. Last week the AHS Physics class participated in the Marshall High School Engineering and Design competition. Austin Hopkins and Ben Crane earned an 8th place trophy in the catapult competition and a 2nd place trophy in the mousetrap car competition. Austin, Ben, and Dallas Sisk placed 8th in the wild card competition. Others participating in the event were Alexia Guajardo and Maiana Corona (toothpick bridge and mousetrap car), Jacob Butler and Ilusha Budd (catapult and gravity-powered car), Cesar Martinez and John Lopez (mousetrap car and toothpick bridge), and Dallas Sisk and Cameron Roberts (catapult and gravity-powered car).




Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Winter choir concert has been rescheduled from December 8th to January 19th at 3pm for both JH and HS choir. Location is still TBA.

The Elks host the annual hoop shoot Saturday, December 14th. The contest is for ages 8-13 at Mattoon Middle School and is free to all contestants. Registration starts at 9:00am. #HoopShoot
